“As the owner of a flower shop, I had to close down for a period of time. Stepping away from the flower shop gave me time to reflect on the things that are important to me. It really put into perspective things that bring me joy — working with customers and being embedded in the neighborhood. I decided once things opened up to invest my time and energy into building up the day-to-day business at the flower shop, and now we’re busier to ever,” said Marlin.
“The neighborhood has been incredibly supportive as they were during the lockdown. People are so happy coming in again to browse and meet their friends. I think there’s a lot of joy in finding some normalcy,” said Minot.
